How dailydraw works
Does it have to be a drawing?
No. The draw in dailydraw is the raffle kind: one theme pulled from the pool each day, the same one for everybody. What you make of it is entirely yours. Paint, pixels, ink, clay, needle and thread, a photograph, a song, a short piece of writing. The themes are meant to work in any of them, which is why none of them tell you how to work or what to use.
Are the themes AI-generated?
No. They come from a set pool, one for each day. No AI involved.
When does the theme change?
At midnight UTC, every day. The theme is global: everyone in the world gets the same one at the same time.
Can I still post for yesterday?
Yes, until midnight UTC. Yesterday's theme stays open through today, so a late finish still lands in the right day's gallery. Step back a day on the Daily Draw page and submit from there. Anything older is closed, which is what keeps a day's gallery a snapshot of the same idea on the same day.
Can I do a past theme?
Make it whenever you like. Every day keeps its page and its gallery, so old themes are there to be worked through. A closed day can't be entered, so post that one as an ordinary upload on artbase.
Can I see what's coming?
Three days ahead, no further. The next-day arrow at the bottom of each page walks you forward, and the Daily Draw page on artbase steps through the same days. Nothing can be posted for a day until it starts at midnight UTC.
How many can I post?
One piece per theme. Everyone gets the same idea and one go at it, which is what makes a day's gallery worth scrolling. If you'd rather enter something else, delete the one you posted and post the new one instead. The Daily Draw page says when you've already submitted for a day.
Where do the submissions live?
On artbase: the Daily Draw page collects every day's submissions. Use the submit button on today's page here to have your upload counted for the day.
